We also partner with O’Neill Transfer & Storage, an independently-owned, Portland-based moving company with over 100 years of experience working with older adults, to deliver expert moving solutions.

Giving Back to the Community
At Take Care of Us Move Assistance, we’re proud to say Portland Oregon has given us a home since 2006. We’ve had the pleasure of serving hundreds of older adults in this vibrant community and as privileged as we have been, we feel it’s important that we give back.
Our work often brings us into the homes and lives of older adults during times of transition, and we see firsthand how having support around a person can make all the difference during difficult times.
That’s why we’ve made community involvement a core part of our mission – so we can be that support for members of our community who don’t have one.
One of the ways we give back is by ensuring that the belongings older adults no longer need can continue to serve a purpose.
Instead of sending usable furniture, home goods, or building materials to the landfill, we carefully sort and donate these items to local nonprofits.
Community Warehouse, a Portland-based furniture bank, helps redistribute these donations to families in need, while Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore program uses them to fund affordable housing projects and sell them at low cost to the public.
These partnerships allow our clients’ items to live on in homes throughout the city. Supporting neighbors and reducing waste.
